sorry for going offtopic here....but need some information of you norwegian folks.

will be visiting norway in september, and saw, that there will be a festival/openair/concert (i don't know) called karmoygeddon...

unfortunately, i don't find any informations about that in english....
just saw that cor scorpii and sorgsvart (unbelievable) will play there.

is this true? or what's about that carmoygeddon?

How to get FAST from Kopervik to Oslo?

Hi people. Some good friends are going to play at Inferno this year and I was thinking to join them also in Kopervik, where they'll have a concert on 22nd of March. I could go there with their car but I guess they won't be able to be back in Oslo on 23rd before 5 PM (450 km distance!) when I'll have my flight back to Amsterdam. I tried to find on the internet information about buses/trains between Kopervik and Oslo, but didn't succeed. Does anyone have any idea if there are direct connections between them, how long the travel takes and maybe some idea about the price? Please...

Hey guys. I am just wondering, cause there is gonna be basically norwegian people all around, I think it is a good idea to ask if there is somebody else who, like me, is travelling all alone from a distant planet somewhere in the vicinity of Betelgeuse and does not know all the tricks and sights of the place. I am staying in Anker and I have basically nothing to do, except for the festival of course. I saw some discussions here about going to "what used to be Helvete" and so on. So if anybody is staying near Anker and has the same cool plan as me, which basically means walking around and finding out what is where, just let me know. I am leaving on wedneysday, so if anybody is interested, please write before I leave.

hail all brothers and sisters of metal.. I know this is very late, but I just realized that I probably wont be able to catch a bus or anything back to my home outside oslo in the night because of easter and stuff. Also I'm going alone as well. I've seen there is a few of these topics allready but call me lazy for starting a new one.. What I'm looking for is brothers to drink beer with and maybe if someone can find it in their soul to be a true hero to someone they don't even know.. a floor to sleep on. if anyone is at anker or anything and they don't mind a drunk snoring guy on the floor.. please tell me? I don't have any money because I can't get a job and I spent it all on the tickets But I will buy you beer!

Anyway, have a great time and I hope someone sees this before its too late.

Airline prices this year

Is it just my idea or have airline prices this year gone WAY up as opposed to the past 3 years ?? This year its up 15-20% ! Im still waiting to see IF they drop in the next few weeks ....

I'm going to be staying in Oslo for a few days after Inferno (leaving Thursday) and I was contemplating a day trip over to Stavanger. Night train it there and back like I did Bergen last year.

So, aside from the Cathedral and the Swords in Rock... anything else a 'Must See!!'?

This Oslo Card seem pretty interesting, though the price is very Norwegian , but it offers unlimited travel on all public transport in greater Oslo, free admission to museums and sightseeing attractions; free parking in certain public spaces; a miniboat cruise; admission to public swimming pools (I guess with a discount or something like that); discounts on car, ski, and skate rentals; and discounts at specified restaurants and theaters.

A one-day Oslo Card costs NKr 190, a two-day card NKr 285, and a three-day card NKr 375. Children's cards cost NKr 75, NKr 95, and NKr 125 and a family card costs NKr 395.

So, if you're planning to spend some extra days in Oslo just for hard visiting, keep this card in mind.

I travel alone to the Inferno (by plane I guess- Frankfurt/Hahn to Torp).
With this topic I try to find some people, who would like to hang out and have some fun these days.
Normally I would have went with my ex. But since were split up, thats not an option. It would be cool to have some people around.
About me:
I´m from germany and 25 years old
I like Black, technical Death and authentic Heavy Metal.
Have been to Norway quite often and speak what I would call supermarket norsk.

A low cost airline is also known as low-cost carrier or a discount carrier or no-frills. These airlines usually offer low air fares than the normal traditional passenger services. The concept of offering low air fares originated in the U.S. In early 1990s, it spread to Europe and the concept subsequently spread to the rest of the world.

“Pacific Southwest Airlines” is the first successful low-cost airline of United States which started operating on May 6, 1949. The most famous low cost carriers of Europe are “Ryanair” and “Easy jet”.

Low-cost airlines are a serious threat to traditional airlines service, since the high cost structure of traditional full-service carriers disables them from competing with the low cost carriers especially due to the most important factor, the cost. During the period 2001 to 2003 when the aviation industry was rocked by SARS, war and terrorism, the low cost carriers stayed profitable while the traditional airlines suffered a huge loss.

Cheap Airfares have changed the way we travel. It is really amazing to know that the taxi fare to the airport is more than the actual flight fare for traveling to a new land.
